You REDy?

Long time, no time.

I swear, my time management is horrendous. I will spend 3 hours on Tumblr knowing that I have 2 essays and a project to do for school. I really hope that I break this habit before college.

So I couldn't help myself. I had to break out another sweater! The weather here in North Carolina keeps everyone on their toes. One day the sun is blazing and the next day it's raining and chilly. MAKE UP YOUR MIND, WEATHER!

I got this lovely, Elmo-looking sweater from Wet Seal on sale. The skirt is from Target.

I'm a sucker for free online shipping, so I got these on charlotterusse.com during their most recent sale. Did you know that these are my first pair of combat boots? I'm really late in the game, I know.

Wanna fight?

At the Target near my house, the bags are never on sale. I'm sorry, but I refuse to pay more than $20 for purse. This bag however, happened to be on sale for $6 so I jumped on it and started hissing at people that walked by, like a tiger jumping on its prey. (Not really, haha. But I was pretty excited.)

Adios, Winter!

My mom has one rule when it comes to shopping: always buy clothes off-season.

Since most stores are pulling out their spring and summer collections, now is the perfect time for me to do some winter bargain hunting. H&M had a lovely sweater sale last month and I was on the prowl. I picked up this cozy sweater for only $15 dollars.

Needless to say, I love it.

Ooh, I switched up the necklaces here. I thought that my turtle necklace in the first picture was too dull. To me, that is unacceptable. I live for pops of color.

Speaking to an Icon

I got a very pleasant surprise today.

I logged on to Chictopia to see what my favorite bloggers were wearing and to possibly find some inspiration for my future outfits. A small yellow box in the right hand corner of my screen alerted me that there were some new comments on my posts. Sweet, I thought to myself. People are actually looking at my stuff!

But not just ANYONE was looking at my posts.

The lovely Miss Anna from melodicthriftychic.com commented on my post!

Her blog was one of the first fashion blogs that I've ever followed and she has been one of my inspirations from the get-go. Watching her as a powerful, educated, black woman who broke the mold of conformity with her outfits completely changed my life. I can honestly say that her love of color and patterns fueled my love of fashion.

I'm just... blown away. It is truly something special when your idols notice you.

Maybe this is a sign that I'm on the right track.

Never stop, my neon love

Summer is coming. I might as well wear it!

I can't believe that spring is here and summer is already around the corner. (Then why am I still in school?) I have so many goals that I want to achieve before I hit the road for college that I actually feel a bit prematurely overwhelmed. However, I know two things for sure: I want to be a bit more transparent with my feelings, and I want to shine through with all of my glory.

This outfit embodies that feeling.

Is the world ready for me?

Old Beginnings

Wow.

It's been quite some time since I've used Blogger. I think the last time I posted on a Blogger blog was when I was in 8th grade. I'm a senior in high school now, so its been about 4 years. So many memories... That being said, let's get right back into it, shall we?

I adore this outfit! It is very simple, yet it has a pop of color and a hint of femininity. I wore it to a college interview, but it looks like the perfect brunch outfit!

So, here I am.

My name is Jordan.

Everyone needs a creative outlet and fashion is mine.

I have been inspired by so many other beautiful fashion bloggers that post their cute outfits and help other people with their style.

I thought, "Why can't I do the same?"

Maybe I can. Maybe I will. Hey, maybe I won't.

Let's find out.
